PALAZZO 1837 RISTORANTE is the area's Premier Dining experience - specializing in old-fashioned Northern and Southern Italiam dishes - Steaks, Seafood, Pasta, Chicken, and Veal.  Nestled against the hillside on the historic Quail Mansion Estate, PALAZZO 1837 showcases a rustic Colonial atmosphere with casual elegance and style.  Owner Susanne Rose Sager, grew up workng in the original PALAZZO RISTORANTE, IN downtown Pittsburgh, near Heinz Hall in the Theater District.  She remains steadfast in her dedication to her family's old-fashioned Italian traditions.

At PALAZZO 1837, owner Matt Jake Sager, brings his German and Belgian culture to the table in his rustic TAVERN 1837 - Featuring an antique Marble bar with a classical European draught selection, including obscure GERMAN, BELGIAN, and BRITISH ISLES Beers that are deftly paired with authentic PALAZZO dishes.  Sager's nostalgia for history led him to build the bar out of anitque Marble and Oak reclaimed from an old school in Pittsburgh.  His Pre-Prohibition era specialty drink list constantly evolves and develops with the chef-inspired bartending style of manager, Will Lenz - including the use of a Ra Chand French juice press, simple syrups made by the chef, fresh-muddled seasonal ingredients such as herbs and bruits, and a highly skilled bartender that puts on a spectacular show with his elaborate menu and blow torch.
